The scope of this project consists of replacement of the existing baggage handling equipment and providing opening protectives and the required fire separations at the limited impact areas. Bids must be received electronically through Bid Express(R). Each proposal must be accompanied by a cashier's check, money order, certified check, or bid bond payable without condition to the Evansville-Vanderburgh Airport Authority District, in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the contract properly secured. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the sum of one hundred percent of the contract amount. All proposals must include a Bid Form, acceptable Bid Security, Contractor's Financial Statement, and any other documents required by the Contract Documents. Any bid not accompanied by these required items will be deemed non-responsive. No bidder may withdraw their proposal within 60 days of submission. The Owner reserves the right to retain bids for up to 90 days, to waive informalities, and to accept or reject bids as deemed most favorable to the airport. Disadvantaged business enterprises shall be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, or national origin.
