The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and appurtenances for the construction of approximately 30 linear feet of new 12-inch water main, 12-inch ductile iron fittings, and a 12-inch insertion valve on Main Street (SR 23) in Caernarvon Township. The work is subject to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the project name and must include bid security of not less than 10% of the bid amount in the form of a certified check or satisfactory bid bond made payable to The Caernarvon Township Authority. All bids shall be irrevocable for sixty calendar days from the date of the bid opening except as permitted by law. The project must be substantially complete within sixty calendar days and finally complete within seventy-five calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to delete portions of the project based on budget constraints. The Authority reserves the right to accept any proposal it judges to be in its best interest. QA date - 4-24-2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to ENGINEER. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by ENGINEER in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
