Bid Bond 5 % Project introduction: The Fox Stone Barn was severely damaged during the Marshall Fire of 2021. This construction project is intended to repair the building and restore the exterior. Engineer and architectural construction drawings are included in the package. The barn, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, was built circa 1900 from ashlar sandstone collected from a local quarry. It is located on what was the Fox family complex, which included a residence and mine office (also on the National Register of Historic Places). The Fox Mine and the Fox family were important to the coal operations in nearby Marshall. The barn may have been a residence at one time, and was later used as a barn and storage. This rehabilitation is not intended to create a residence, but rather for use as an agricultural storage building. Project Goals: o Repair of historic masonry barn for use as storage. II. TASKS o Schedule initial walk-through with COB project manager, architect and project engineers; o Coordinate and apply for Boulder County building permit; o Schedule consultation with project managers, architect and engineers throughout duration of the project; o Commencement and implementation of all construction; o Supervision of and coordination with sub-contractors; o Consult with project managers, architect and engineers as needed basis; o Organize on-site construction management meetings and other on-site visits as required; o Submit all suggested material, fixture, color choices to COB project manager for approval; o Timely presentation of payment change orders and payment requests; o Preparation of project journal, including meeting notes, change orders, progress updates. o Maintaining a clean, safe work area.
