The work includes the construction of approximately 5,544 linear feet of 24-inch ductile iron potable water pipeline along S. Olympia Street between W. 19th Avenue and W. 36th Avenue in Kennewick, Washington. Additional work involves connections to the existing water distribution system with 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch water mains; installation of new fire hydrants and reconnection of existing fire hydrants; reconnection of existing domestic water services and meters; and all related appurtenances, surface restoration, testing, disinfection, and other necessary work to complete a fully operational water system in accordance with specified contract documents, plans, and specifications. All bid proposals must include a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder must enter into a contract and provide a satisfactory performance bond; failure to do so results in forfeiture of the deposit. All work is subject to state prevailing wage rates. All contractors must be licensed in the State of Washington. The City reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids.
