Sealed bids or electronic bids will be received for the construction of 0.056 mile of box culvert and approaches on Ozark Baptist Road, as part of State Aid Bridge Program Project No. SABP-29(01) in Itawamba County, Mississippi. The contract time is 120 working days. The award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder on the basis of published quantities. In any contract, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, or national origin. The project shall be constructed in accordance with the 2004 edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction. Bids will be accepted only under the name of the bidder to whom contract documents have been issued by Plan House Printing, on behalf of the engineer, and whose name appears on the official list of plan holders maintained by Plan House Printing. Certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Itawamba County and the State of Mississippi, must accompany each proposal. For electronic bids, the bond must be either a bond issued by the surety in electronic format of the original hard copy or submitted to the Itawamba County Board of Supervisors prior to bid opening. The entire proposal is required to be turned in for both paper and electronic submissions. Any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and will not be considered in making the award.
