Demolition and site work for a financial development in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a financial development.
Bids are invited for the demolition and site clearance of a former bank at 85 E. Main St., Nanticoke. Bid proposals must be submitted on the forms provided and will be rejected from any bidder not registered with the Engineer. Bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid must accompany each bid. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage rates apply to contracts over $25,000. The project is funded by a grant from the American Rescue Plan Act for COVID-19 ARPA Local Fiscal Recovery Fund for Non-Entitlement Units, administered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Community and Economic Development. Bidders must comply with the President's Executive Order #11246 for non-discrimination in employment, ensuring no discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, or familial status. Contractors must establish a 6.9% goal for female participation and a 0.6% goal for minority participation in the on-site construction workforce for contracts over $10,000, as per affirmative action requirements in the contract documents. Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and related regulations also apply. The South Valley Land Bank and Nanticoke Municipal Authority reserve the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities. Bids may be held for up to sixty (60) days after opening for review before awarding the contract, during which time no bidder may withdraw their bid.
