Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Clinton, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Provide excavation and associated earthwork, geosynthetic material installation, utility installation, and construction of Phase 3 at the Clinton County Sanitary Landfill. Each proposal must include a Bid Bond or certified check equivalent to 5% of the amount of bid, payable to the order of the Clinton County Area Solid Waste Agency (CCASWA), as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, acceptable to the governing body, for the faithful performance of the contract. This sum shall be forfeited if the selected bidder fails to enter into the contract within fifteen days after the contract has been awarded. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid after the time for opening bids has passed. The Bid Bond or certified check must be submitted in a sealed envelope, separate from the bid proposal. Failure to submit the Bid Bond or certified check in a separate envelope shall result in the disqualification of the entire bid proposal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive or not waive any informalities in the Bids received and to accept any proposal which is deemed most favorable to the interests of the Owner. Bids received after the posted time will not be opened. Bidders are responsible for any delays or failures of the delivery service used. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for all bidders. Bidders are required to attend and participate in the conference.
