Grading and reshaping gravel roads. Restoring proper crown and drainage. Eliminating potholes and washboarding. Shoulder maintenance as directed. Fine grading and smoothing of road surfaces. Emergency grading following storm events or heavy rainfall. Additional roadway maintenance tasks as directed by the DPW Operations Manager. The selected contractor shall provide a properly equipped motor grader, experienced operator, fuel, transportation, maintenance, and proof of insurance. Proposal Requirements: • Company Name and Contact Information • Hourly Rate for Grader and Operator • Overtime / Weekend Hourly Rates (if applicable) • Equipment Description (make/model/year) • Estimated Response Time for Call-Outs • Proof of Insurance • Minimum Billing Requirements (if any) • References from Municipal or Highway Work The Town will compensate the contractor based on the submitted hourly rate for actual hours worked. The Town reserves the right to negotiate pricing and scope as necessary. The Town of Fairfax reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive informalities, and award the contract in the best interest of the Town. The Town is not obligated to accept the lowest proposal.
