The contractor shall provide comprehensive preventive maintenance, inspection, corrective service, and emergency repair for Veterans Canteen Service equipment located at the West Haven and Newington campuses of the VA Connecticut Healthcare System. This includes scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections and periodic testing, corrective call back service for operational problems, corrective service for problems identified during inspections, and 12-hour, 5-day per week call back support with after-hours emergency services. The contractor must supply all parts, materials, lubricants, fluids, cleaning fluids, equipment, tools, shipping, travel, and labor necessary for these services. All maintenance and repairs must comply with manufacturer guidelines and applicable industry standards. Bidders must have a field service representative within 200 miles of the campuses and have completed OEM training on the specific equipment. All parts used must be new OEM parts unless otherwise approved in writing. The contractor is required to conduct a minimum annual inspection, provide detailed inspection reports, identify emergent repairs within 24 hours, and ensure corrective actions are taken for any issues found during inspection or monitoring. Bidders must be able to respond to service issues within six hours, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays.
