Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Sealed proposals are requested for the following work: milling of 11,206 square yards of bituminous pavement, installation of 928 tons of Superpave binder course (19.0mm), and installation of 1,326 tons of Superpave wearing course (9.5mm), all in place. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies only if the bid amount exceeds $100,000.00. Liquidated damages are set at $975.00 per calendar day. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided by the Municipality. Bids for third class cities must include a certified check or bid bond for 10% of the bid amount, payable to the municipality; for other municipalities, this is at their discretion. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond or certified check for 100% of the contract amount within 20 days of award. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
