The work includes all general construction, plumbing, heating, and electrical work for the Thornbury Township Meeting Room Renovations as shown in the Bid Documents, in accordance with the Standard Conditions, Drawings, and Specifications. All work is under a general contract (Guaranteed Maximum Price) and must include all mechanical and electrical work required for the project. Bidders must submit sealed bids digitally via the PennBid system. A certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, payable to the Township of Thornbury, must accompany each bid. Bidders must address all bids to the Township of Thornbury, c/o: Jeffrey Seagraves, Manager, 6 Township Drive, Cheyney, PA 19319-1020, and clearly endorse correspondence and submittals for the Thornbury Township Meeting Room Renovations prior to upload in PennBid. Attention is drawn to requirements including PA Prevailing Wage Rates, various insurance requirements, equal opportunity provisions, payment and performance bonds for 100% of the contract price, and a one-year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price, to begin upon substantial completion or acceptance of the work.
