The work includes the rehabilitation of a 250,000-gallon elevated welded steel water storage tank within Banks Township, Carbon County. The work consists of blasting and full painting of the interior and exterior of the tank, any miscellaneous welding repairs, and tank instrumentation upgrades. Work cannot start until May 1, 2027. Prime contractors are required to solicit and encourage Disadvantaged Business Enterprises to participate with construction, supplies, equipment, and materials. Davis Bacon Act federal wage rates must be paid by the contractors, and there are requirements for the use of American-made steel and compliance with Build America, Buy America provisions. Each bidder must meet the requirements of the Public Works Employment Verification Act. Bids will not be accepted from bidders who do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference.
