The Town of Fairfax, Vermont, is seeking proposals for the design and installation of an emergency standby generator system at the Town of Fairfax Drinking Water Plant on Fletcher Road. The proposed generator and support equipment shall be sized to power all equipment and systems in the building and should run on diesel. Building equipment to be powered includes two 7.5 HP booster pumps, one 3 HP backwash pump, one 40 HP fire flow pump, pump controls, building lights, propane unit heaters, and outlets. The selected contractor will be responsible for permitting, coordination with Green Mountain Power, supply and installation of the generator and automatic transfer switch, supply and installation of all conduits, wire, raceways, and junction boxes, seamless integration of the new ATS with the building power distribution system, startup, and training. The Town of Fairfax will supply earthwork and generator pad built to contractor-provided specifications. Sealed bids must be submitted by the specified deadline. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the Town.
