TIMELINE: As of September 14, 2026, the project is fully designed and permitted. FAA grant funding has been awarded, and the project designer, Stantec Consulting Services, has been identified. The proposed construction contract is undergoing legal review prior to final award by the Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA). VIPA has relocated its ARFF operations to a temporary facility in preparation for demolition of the existing station and construction of the new facility.
