Renovation of a military facility in Limestone, Maine. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Provide Design-Build services for repair and alterations at the Limestone Land Port of Entry to enhance security and functionality while maintaining full operations during construction. The work includes design and construction under a single firm-fixed-price contract to add a secondary inspection bay and soft secondary overhang, replace and renovate pavement around the port, install a perimeter fence and gates, and add site lighting along the facility and perimeter. The scope also includes removal of the existing generator and installation of a new appropriately sized generator, demolition of the existing primary inspection booth and installation of a new booth between the inbound POV lane and the commercial traffic lane, installation of a new fire alarm system integrated into the GSA monitoring system, and installation of new security cameras throughout the port. All work must comply with GSA PBS Core Building Standards, BIM requirements, and DHS CBP guidelines, and account for the building's historic designation. Construction will occur in a secure, occupied facility operating 12 hours per day, seven days per week, with consideration for remote location and extreme cold climate conditions. Location: Limestone Land Port of Entry, 410 Grand Falls Road, Limestone, ME 04750 Estimated magnitude of construction: $3,000,000 TO $12,000,000.
