The Town of Limestone is seeking bids for the provision of up to 1,500 yards of 1/2" coarse non-compaction sand pre-mixed with salt, to be used for winter sanding of roadways for FY 2025/2026. The Town may adjust the actual amount purchased as needed. Bids should be stated in U.S. funds on a per-yard basis, with payment for actual product purchased. Price must include delivery to the Town of Limestone Highway Department Sand Shed or another location within Limestone, as determined by the Town. Delivery must occur within sixty days of an order being placed. Bidders must specify and detail the location of the pit to be used. Materials must be free of all objects larger than the specified size as well as mud, clay, dead sand, or foreign materials. The winning bidder must provide a sample (5-gallon bucket) for the Town's approval prior to delivery of the first load; unsatisfactory samples may result in bid rejection. Bids are to be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "ROAD SAND BID FOR 2025/2026" using the specified form, and received by the Town Office by the stated deadline. Late bids will not be accepted. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any formalities, and award bids at its discretion. Bids must be valid for 30 days from the deadline and cannot be withdrawn in this time.
