Demolition, site work and new construction of a parking garage in Edgerton, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a parking garage; for the construction of a parking garage; and for site work for a parking garage.
Remove and replace the existing "59 Garage" with a new and larger facility. Due to the extreme expansion of the I-39/90 corridor, Rock County is asked to provide more winter equipment. This facility will be focused on storing this additional equipment, as well as repositioning some items from the main shop in Janesville. 2027 funds are requested for land acquisition. Funds for engineering the building are requested in 2028, and 2029 is for construction costs. This aligns with the Strategic Plan goal of Public Safety because this new Edgerton garage will provide improved route optimization, enhancing the response time for salting and plowing the interstate and county roads. The project is included in the city 2027 - 2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of July 13,2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
