Furnish materials and replace existing traffic signal controllers with NEMA TS-2, Type 2 Controller Assembly, Type 2 Mounting at four (4) existing intersections fourteen (14) Vehicular Retrofit Module (8-inch), twelve (12) yellow LED lens (8-inch), ten (10) yellow LED lens (12-inch) and signal timing adjustments, including all related appurtenances. The project is being partially funded by the PennDOT Green Light Go Grant. The Proposal for the Traffic Signal Improvements Project shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal. The successful bidder will be required to place a 100% performance, payment and maintenance bond with the Borough within ten (10) days of Notice of Intent to Award. Liquidated damages shall apply to this contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total contract amount, said bonds to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A Certificate of Insurance showing proof of liability insurance and worker's compensation insurance must also be provided, as specified in the bid documents project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate prevailing minimum rates as promulgated under provisions of said Act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work. Borough of Kutztown hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to accept or reject any and all Bids or portions thereof and to delete projects and/or portions of projects based upon budget constraints. All Proposals shall be effective for sixty (60) days and the project must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.
