Bids can be mailed to Tukwila City Hall and must be received by 9:30 a.m. the day the bids are due OR dropped off on Wednesday morning. Bids will be picked up, with the last pickup being at exactly 9:31 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 based on the Atomic Clock in the City's Clerk s Office. A box will be located outside the double doors at Tukwila City Hall near the flagpole on the day of the bid opening from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. The work to be performed within 35 working days from the date of Notice to Proceed consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and oi lier work or items incidental thereto for: A public trail around the newly constructed Chinook Wind Mitigation Project along the Duwamish River in Tukwila. Work generally includes the construction and installation of a small trailhead parking area, storm drainage, crushed rock paths, park furnishings, signage, paving, planting and irrigation. Proposals received later than the submittal deadline will not be accepted. The City will not be liable for delays in delivery of proposals due to handling by the U.S, Postal Service or any other type of delivery service. Faxed or emailed submittals will not be accepted. Bidders are encouraged to "Register as a Bidder" m order to receive automatic e-mail notification of addenda and to be placed on the "Bidders List". This service is provided free of charge to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors and Vendors bidding this project. Informational copies of any available maps, plans, specifications, and subsurface information are on file for inspection in the office of the Tukwila City Engineer, at the Public Works Department. The City of Tukwila hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contracts entered pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award. The City reserves the right to reject all bids or waive any informalities in the bidding and make the award as deemed to be m the best interest of the City.
