Construction of Storm Inlet Repairs. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and the Instructions for Submitting Electronic Bids set forth in the Bid Packet, including, but not limited to, a Bid Bond (issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in Pennsylvania), Bank Money Order, or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to PB; an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds will be provided by the Successful Bidder to PB upon the awarding of the Bid; and proof of insurance as required by the Contract Documents. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder. Penndel Borough reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding, when, in the opinion of the Borough, such rejections or waivers are to its interest or advantage. Bids may be held by PB for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. Inquiries regarding this contract must be uploaded to PennBid by 5 PM on February 29, 2024.
