Site work and paving for a road / highway in Shoemakersville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Work generally consists of 8050 square yards of Double Bituminous Seal Coat as per PUB 408 Section 470 and 11353 square yards of Single Bituminous Seal Coat as per PUB 408 Section 470. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $870 per calendar day. Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. The Borough Council of Shoemakersville reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or portions thereof, and to accept any Bid, or portion of Bid, which in its judgement is in the best interest of the Borough. Construct Single bituminous seal coat application. PennDOT approved design required as per Bulletin 27. Seal coat design to be based on: #8 stone 1.0% loss by wash, less than 100 ADT, condition of existing surface category (c) Slightly pocked, porous, and oxidized surface, CRS-2PM (E-3M) Emulsion. All workmanship and material to be in compliance with PennDOT Publication 408, Section 470. Proof of PennDOT calibration of chipper and distributor required. Enough rubber tire rollers required to cover seal coat application in a single pass
