Site work and paving for a road / highway in Normal, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The Town of Normal reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to waive any formalities in the bidding procedures. The bid award will be made by the Town Council and their decision will be final. General Project Description: The repaving project will repair and rejuvenate this segment of the Constitution Trail by sealing existing cracks and adding strength to the trail surface. Overlay an approximate 3,740 linear foot segment of the Constitution Trail on the north side of Raab Road, from N. Linden Street to the driveway of Normal Fire Station #3, located at 1200 E. Raab Road. Actual start and end locations are marked on the trail surface for bidding and construction purposes. The Scope of Work for this project is as follows. The asphalt overlay will be to the entire width of the existing trail. The width of the existing trail is (10) feet. Between Linden Street and Beech Street, a keystone block retaining wall parallels the trail at approximately 1000 linear feet in length. An approximate 2-foot buffer exists between the trail edge and wall. The contractor will excavate (6) inches of existing material between the trail and wall. Care should be taken so as not to damage the wall footings. An aggregate mix of gravel and crushed stone shall be added and compacted to provide a sub-layer for new asphalt material. The prepared area would then be included in the overlay project, therefore widening the trail in this approximate 1000 liner foot area to (12) feet.
