Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Westfield, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The project shall include, but is not limited to, replacement of the Howland Hill Rd bridge and the associated items including drainage, 2A subbase, guide rail, installing/maintaining erosion and sediment control measures, traffic control, seeding and mulching, all necessary incidental work, and site restoration for said construction as set forth in the Project Manual. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of Westfield Township, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bidder shall include the fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with the bid. Contractor will complete the Work and be ready for final payment in accordance with paragraph Time for Completion and Liquidated Damages of the General Provisions within seventy-five (75) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed All work and material must be in accordance with current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (online) Publications 408 and 447 and supplements. Bidders must be online pre-qualified. Construction Performance and Payment Bonds are required in the amount of one-hundred (100) percent of the Contract as awarded. Bidders are hereby notified that Prevailing Wage Rates must be paid on local transportation projects over $100,000 in accordance with the Act 89 Transportation Plan. Each Bidder (and Bidder's subcontractor[s]) must ensure that employees, and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Bids may be held by the Westfield Township Board of Supervisors for up to 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract.
