Reference Number : 0000359141 The following services are required for the project: o Roofing Contractor o Sheet Metal Contractor o Licensed Mechanical Contractor o Carpenter o Licensed Electrician The Support Building at Limon Correctional Facility is a large multi-purpose structure that is covered with low slope roofing. The existing older roof systems on the building are a mix of gravel surfaced asphalt Built-Up Roof (BUR) systems and SBS modified bitumen roofing. These older roofs sit on five distinct roof areas. The roofs are installed over concrete decks with 1/4" per foot (0.25/12) of slope toward a series on internal roof drains. The existing roofs are to be removed down to the surface of the existing underlayment felt ply that has been mopped down over the concrete decking. A new layer of 2" thick isocyanurate foam and a layer of 3" thick isocyanurate will then be set in hot moppings of asphalt over the existing underlayment ply. Tapered isocyanurate foam crickets will then be installed over the base layers of insulation in moppings of hot asphalt. A perlite or wood fiber cover board will then be set in hot moppings of asphalt over the foam insulation layers. A four-ply fiberglass felt asphalt BUR system with modified bitumen flashings will then be installed. The new roof membrane will be finished with an asphalt flood coat and roofing aggregate. The work will include new sheet metal flashings and counterflashings also. The completed roof assembly is required to be covered by a 20-year warranty covering material and labor in a leak free state at a no-dollar-limit. The roofing contractor shall also be required to provide two-year warranty covering the finished roof in a leak free state.
