Providing Labor and Equipment for Pick-up, Transportation, and Disposal and/or Recycling of Municipal Solid Waste Generated From Approximately 2,000 Residential and Commercial Units Within the Borough of Palmerton. Each Proposal Must Be Accompanied by Either a Cashier's Check or Bid Bond, Payable to the Borough of Palmerton, in the Amount of Ten (10%) Percent of the Bid Amount. Said Amount Shall Guarantee That in the Event the Contract is Awarded to Him/her, Such Party Will Execute the Contract in Good Faith. Checks or Bonds Will Be Returned to All Bidders Within Ten (10) Days After the Contract is Executed. All Bonds Must Be Executed by the Sureties Who Are Licensed to Contract Business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and Must Be Accompanied by a Certified, Effectively Dated Copy of the Authority to Act. The Borough Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informalities in the Bids Received, to Reject Any or All Bids, or to Award Any Contract as Deemed to Be in the Borough's Best Interest. Following the Opening of Bids, No Bid May Be Withdrawn for a Period of Forty-five (45) Days. All Bids Shall Be Tendered on Forms Provided by the Borough in a Sealed Envelope Bearing the Bidder's Name and Local Address, and Shall Be Marked, "Proposal for Municipal Solid Waste Collection and/or Recycling, Borough of Palmerton".
