Reference Number 0000369876 Current condition: The Red Brick Recreation Center Gymnasium roof (not original) needs replacement after 30+ years. The roof screws are lifting in areas which is causing panels to lift at the seams. Multiple replacement and repair of screws and screw holes has occurred in recent years to prolong the integrity of the existing roof surface. At this point, replacement is critically important to maintain the building envelope. The project will include but is not limited to: Installation of a new roof comprising McElroy 138T metal panels that are joined/sealed at the rib locations with multi-span clip fasteners, over a new continuous insulation, new underlayment and plywood decking. The scope of work also will include replacement of existing polycarbonate panels over the pedestrian walkway serving the primary public entrance to the gymnasium. A new cover board and epdm overlay interface with existing epdm roofing area will also be installed. The City of Aspen ("City") is soliciting proposals from qualified roofing contractors ("Respondents") to perform a comprehensive replacement of the gymnasium roof at the Red Brick building, located at 110 East Hallam Street, Aspen, CO 81611.
