No definite date for the rebid.** Battelle seeks ASP-registered and qualified General Contractors for renovation of Laboratory 55 and 56 at the Radiochemical Processing Laboratory. The work consists of renovating multiple spaces, including replacement of doors, flooring, ceiling, overhead lighting, casework, HVAC components, and modifying facility and electrical services. Battelle Memorial Institute (Battelle), in connection with Battelle's operation and maintenance of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in Richland, Washington has need of construction services for the renovation of Laboratory 55 and Laboratory 56 at the 325 Radiochemical Processing Laboratory (RPL). The work includes the removal of an existing fume hood, casework, hard ceiling, flooring, an miscellaneous mechanical/electrical/plumbing services. An existing door will be removed and infilled, and the flooring and ceiling will be replaced. A new fume hood with flammable/corrosive cabinets, casework, vented gas cabinets, pump rack, laser safety curtain, eyewash, and safety shower will be installed. New electrical services and lighting fixtures will be installed. A new heat pump will be installed with modified supply and exhaust ductwork, various new laboratory gas services will be installed. Approximately 400' of conduit and associated fittings not associated with the panel that will be relocated will need to be re-supported on top of the roof that will be demolished, and another 100' will need to be demolished/removed. 400' of unused system piping within the project boundaries will need to be removed back to the main line and capped off.
