Site work and outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field in Jupiter, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field.
The work is to be done under the terms and conditions of Palm Beach County's Annual Contract - Electrical Services as supplemented by this Invitation for Quote/Bid. This Quote/Bid is to furnish all material, labor, supervision, permits and supplies necessary and reasonably incidental to provide and install pickleball court lighting per the project requirements provided by Capital Improvements Division in this Invitation for Quote/Bid at Attachment "C" and all exhibits and addenda thereto. Work is to be done under the terms and conditions of Palm Beach County's Annual Contract - Electrical Services, and pursuant to the conditions of the Work Order, both of which are incorporated into the Contract Documents by reference. Project Location: 400 S. A1A, Jupiter, FL To provide and install pickleball court lighting per the project requirements provided below and Exhibits "1" and "2": a. Contractor is responsible for adhering to the Project Requirements detailed in the attached drawings and specifications included as Exhibits "1" - "3". b. Contractor to verify with electrical engineer of record that the required foot-candle light level meet or exceed the photometric plan requirements through light meter testing. Question Deadline 07/24/2025 - Questions must be e-mailed to FDO-CID-Bids@pbc.gov at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the bid due date. Only questions received in writing will be responded to regarding this Invitation for Quote/Bid. Liquidated Damages are $120/day for failure to achieve certification of Substantial Completion within the Work Order time or approved extension thereof. BID SECURITY AND PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION BOND. Bid Security and Public Construction Bond are required for this Project in accordance with Section 5.2 of the Instructions to Bidders of the Annual Contract as follows: Bid Security. If Bid is $200,000 or over, this Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security (in the form of, at Bidder's option, cashier's check, certified check, money order or Bid Bond in favor of the County) in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the bid price, see Section 5.2.2 of the Instructions to Bidders of the Annual Contract for detailed requirements regarding Bid Security and Attachment B. Public Construction Bond. If Bid is $200,000 or over (or if cumulative open work orders are $200,000 or over), then prior to execution of a Work Order, and not later than fourteen (14) calendar days after notification from Owner, the successful Bidder must furnish a Public Construction Bond in the amount of 100% of the Work Order and Guarantee, see Section 5.2.3 of the Instructions to Bidders of the Annual Contract for detailed requirements regarding the Public Construction Bond and Guarantee. Qualification of Contractors. In order to submit a quote/bid in response to this IFQ/B, a contractor must be qualified under the Annual Contract - Electrical Services. A contractor may obtain a Qualification Application for this Annual Contract by sending an email with the Project # in the subject line to: FDO-CID-Bids@pbc.gov or call (561) 233-0261. Qualification applications may also be downloaded from the County's on-line Vendor Self-Service (VSS) system at https://pbcvssp.pbc.gov/vssprd/Advantage4. The contractor must submit the Qualification Application at least 10 days before the Quote/Bid Due Date in order for its quote/bid to be considered. Completion- (180) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed from Owner. The work included consists of all supervision, labor, miscellaneous materials, and facilities required for the complete and approved Electrical Lighting Modifications related to the replacement of the sports lighting system and associated controls as indicated on the Owner provided Shop Drawings, Reports, and Specifications, or as may be reasonably implied by and for the installation of a complete Electrical System. In general, the Electrical Contractor shall receive, store, assemble, install, and make final connections to equipment fixtures, etc. furnished by other trades or by Owner. Contractor shall confirm existing circuits are capped or shutdown prior to excavation or demolition. The Contractor shall be responsible for the installation of complete and fully functional electrical systems consisting of the following: SECTION 26 00 00 SCOPE OF WORK Carlin Park Pickleball Court Lighting PBC Project No. 2023-028865. In general, the Electrical Contractor shall receive, store, assemble, install, and make final connections to equipment fixtures, etc. furnished by other trades or by Owner. All notes on the Shop Drawings pertaining to the work of this Trade shall be considered as part of this Specification and Contract. Removal and proper disposal of existing and installation of replacement sports field lighting fixtures and associated support brackets, which will be furnished by the County's vendor for all athletic fields/courts/courses of varying types and locations. The contractor shall furnish all labor and materials as required for the assembly of the lighting fixtures, brackets, wiring, raceways, etc. Contractor will be responsible for repairing broken concrete/asphalt or rutting of fields resulting from its work. Contractor shall be responsible for restoring all areas back to their original condition at the end of each workday, fields must be in playable condition for evening events. Expansion of existing sports field lighting control systems, as furnished by the County's vendor, shall be installed under this contract. Replacement of existing and installing new wiring and raceways shall be furnished and installed under this contract. All newly installed fixtures shall be operational by the end of each workday. Any remaining old light fixtures that were unable to be replaced during that day's work shall remain operational for that evening's event. At least (72) hours prior to construction kick-off meeting, contractor to furnish a complete project schedule, including total duration, sequencing of lights replacement per pole, anticipated power outages, Electrical Rooms work, workarounds, etc.
