**As of June 09, 2025, the project was awarded to JM Construction, with an awarded amount of $178,733.17.** The work covered by the specifications consists of the installation of 18 decorative light posts (pre-purchased and supplied by the City of Aurora), concrete bases, 2,058 linear feet of PVC conduit with wires, landscape restoration and maintenance of traffic. Several portions of the conduit shall be bored or directionally drilled. The project is anticipated to begin July 7, 2025 and must attain Final Completion by August 8, 2025 The engineer's estimate for the proposed improvements $ 225,602.00. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or digital or paper bid bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid, signed by a Surety Company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio. Such check or bid bond shall be made payable to the City of Aurora, Ohio and will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted, and a contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. If not providing a digital bid bond, wet-ink original bid bonds, checks, or letters of credit must be delivered to the Office of the Director of Public Service, Aurora Service Department, 158 W. Pioneer Trail, Aurora, Ohio, by the bid opening date and time.
