As of May 5, the Bid Date has been updated per Amendment 1 - dated May 5, 2025 The City of Seldovia is requesting proposals from qualified Contractors to provide all services necessary to install spray foam insulation in the City's maintenance shop at 245 Dock Street. For questions regarding this RFP, contact City Clerk Liz Diament at cityclerk@cityofseldovia.com or 907-234-7643. Questions regarding this proposal must be submitted in writing to City Clerk Diament at the above email address no later than Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 3:00 PM (AKST). Questions posed will be collected and staff will respond as soon as possible. Once answered, these Q&As will be posted on the City's website online This will be a collaborative effort between the Owner and the Contractor. The Owner expects the Contractor to use their expertise and ingenuity to develop a proposal with designs and materials to accomplish the Owner's Scope of Work. The City will consider any changes with documentation that the changes will meet the scope of work. The Contractor shall supply all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, and appurtenances to complete the scope of work. The following scope of work is provided as a minimum guideline and does not include all work activities that may be required to complete the project. In general, the work includes but is not limited to the following. The major tasks should include: o Communicating with the City of Seldovia prior to arriving in Seldovia to advise about properly preparing the maintenance shop for spray foam application o Inspecting the maintenance shop to ensure that the space is ready for spray foam application, including protection of any and all tools, equipment and materials that cannot be temporarily removed from the space o Applying spray foam on maintenance shop walls and ceiling, with the goal of achieving respective minimums of R21 in the walls and R38 in the ceiling. o Any and all finishing work to ensure that the space is cleaned of errant spray foam material and ready for reinstallation of all City equipment, tools, etc. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging transportation of workers, equipment and materials to and from the job site and for lodging and meals during the project. The Contractor shall adhere to all pertinent Federal, State, and local codes, laws, and regulations. The installation of all products shall be per the manufacturer's published instructions and specifications. The Contractor shall ensure that all procedures related to compliance with Federal and State Davis-Bacon wage requirements are followed
