The projects scope of work involves demolishing and removing the existing lift station dry well, construction of a new wet well equipped with 7.5 HP submersible sewage pumps, installation of a valve vault, new mechanical equipment and piping, bypass operations, an electrical cabinet, a standby generator, and control systems. The scope also covers partially removing, plugging, and abandoning an existing 12 storm sewer using flowable fill, constructing 85 linear feet of new 12 storm sewer, and building two storm manholes, along with all associated earthwork, trench backfill, and site restoration. Substantial completion shall be completed within 150 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) while final completion shall be completed within 180 calendar days of the NTP. No questions will be accepted after 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. No proposal will be received unless accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, cash, or a bid bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Rolling Meadows, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and bid within ten days after the award of the contract. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the City for 100% of the Contract Price, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The City reserves the right to defer the award of the Contract for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) calendar days after the date bids are received, to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities, and to advertise for new bids, or to proceed to do the work otherwise, if in the judgment of the City the best interests of the City will be served.
