Vernon County is requesting proposals for design services and construction materials to construct a new Storage Facility located in Viroqua, Wisconsin. The storage facility will house County vehicles and equipment. Building Design for a 50’ x 100’ x 16’ building: • Design should be for building, concrete, and HVAC to be able to meet State approval Building Material Minimums: • 2” x 6” 3 ply columns 4’ on center • 2” x 6” girts 2’ on center • 2” x 6” bottom plate; double 2” x 6” top plate • Hold downs for each column • Roof Trusses with 3/12 slope pitch; 4’ on center • Exterior Steel, 29 gauge minimum • Roof Steel; 29 gauge minimum • Interior Ceiling; 29 gauge minimum • Interior Walls; 29 gauge minimum • R-19 batt insulation for interior walls • R-50 Blown in insulation in attic with attic divider • 2’ vented overhang • 4 – 14’ x 14’ Overhead garage doors; insulated 2” minimum with openers • 3- Service doors with 42” wide opening Concrete: • Concrete floor with of 5” with 4,000psi rating to include rebar with 2” rigid foam underneath with floating slab with perimeter grade beam. Concrete should also include a 10’ x 100’ apron • 6” Bollards to protect garage door openings Construction of Building: • To comply with State approved plans and design June 2025 HVAC: • To comply with State Approved plans and design • Hanging furnace with option for in floor heat Electrical: • To comply with building design and plans • Transfer switch for future generator • 3 phase inverter Plumbing: • Water and Sewer connection to building from municipal source • Water line stub in within building Optional: • Cost for 8’x8’ bathroom to include sink and toilet • 6’x12’ concrete pad for future generator If additional information is necessary to assist the vendor in interpreting this RFP, questions will be accepted by: Vernon County Building’s Supervisor, 1335 Railroad Avenue, Viroqua, WI 54665.
