This project involves constructing a new 175,000-gallon steel water storage tank that meets current seismic standards and installing associated 12-inch pipe connections to remove the existing Greenleaf Tank 1 from the system. The existing tank is in poor condition and is at high risk of failing within 10 years if not replaced. The new tank will be located in the footprint of the existing Willis Building on the Greenleaf site, which will need to be removed for the construction to proceed. The removal of the Willis Building will require coordination with the Forest Park Neighborhood Association, as it is used for monthly meetings. The project is included in the city's 2025-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of August 20, 2025, project dates are still pending.
