This project includes all materials, equipment, transportation, and labor needed to complete soil quality restorations over existing residential properties in the City of Clive, Iowa. Project items include compost purchase, compost hauling, mobilization, deep tine aeration, compost application, and pre/post application communication with homeowners. Specific project locations, along with the kind and approximate quantity of materials to be used, shall be as set forth in the Plans and Specifications. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as outlined in the Instruction to Bidders in an amount equal to Ten (10) percent of the total bid amount. Work on the improvements shall be commenced upon receipt of the written Notice to Proceed and shall be substantially completed by October 3, 2025. Substantial completion will be achieved upon completed deep tine aeration and compost application. Liquidated damages for noncompliance with said substantial completion provisions will be assessed at the rate of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250.00) for each calendar day thereafter that the work remains incomplete. The remaining punch list items shall be completed by November 3, 2025. Enter into a contract, if this proposal is selected, in the form approved by the Jurisdiction, provide proof of registration with the Iowa Division of Labor in accordance with Chapter 91C of the Iowa Code, and furnish a performance, maintenance, and payment bond; and The City of Clive reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
