The City of Clive, hereinafter called the Jurisdiction, has need of a qualified contractor to complete the work comprising the below referenced improvement. The undersigned Bidder hereby proposes to complete the work comprising the below referenced improvement as specified in the contract documents, which are officially on file with the Jurisdiction, in the office of the City Clerk, at the prices hereinafter provided in Part C of the Proposal, for the following described improvements: General Nature of Public Improvement. This project includes all materials, equipment, transportation and labor needed to complete bridge repairs on the NW 114th Street Bridge over Walnut Creek in the City of Clive, Iowa. Project items include deck repair, beam ends repair, ornamental metal railing, and mobilization. Specific project location along with the kind and approximate quantity of materials to be used shall be as set forth in the Plans and Specifications. Time for Commencement and Completion of Work. Work on the improvements shall commence upon receipt of the written Notice to Proceed and shall be completed by June 20, 2025. Liquidated damages for noncompliance with said completion provisions will be assessed at the rate of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each calendar day thereafter that the work remains incomplete. Bid Security. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as outlined in the Instruction to Bidders in an amount equal to Ten (IO) percent of the total bid amount. The City of Clive reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
