This RFSQ will not be used to replace any competitive bid process. It will, however, be used to shortlist firms for a subsequent secondary competitive bid process. By responding to this RFSQ, the interested proponents agree and consent to the terms. This RFSQ will be used to maintain a roster of companies that can be called upon to bid on this project. The University will not accept partial submissions; Proponents must demonstrate the ability to fulfill the objective in its entirety to be considered for pre-qualification. The project consists of the replacement of ~2.3 m3 of existing Barytes concrete fill material within an existing steel-lined void in the McMaster Nuclear Reactor (MNR) pool wall. The replacement fill material will be a new, fully welded, stainless steel structural shell with two built-up pipe sleeves, subsequently filled in situ with neutron shielding concrete. Work includes supply and installation of all components, including radiographic weld testing and concrete material testing, for the replacement fill embedment and two (2) cover plates on either side of the pool wall.
