This Request for Supplier Qualification is to solicit information from interested proponents seeking to be pre-qualified to provide prime contractor services under a CCDC 2 Stipulated Sum Contract to the University for the McMaster Nuclear Reactor (MNR) - Construction of a 75-square-meter, two-floor addition with an Elevator Installation. The intent is to prequalify a General Contractor for McMaster University. This RFSQ will not be used to replace any competitive bid process. It will, however, be used to shortlist firms for a subsequent secondary competitive bid process. By responding to this RFSQ, the interested proponents agree and consent to the terms. This RFSQ will be used to maintain a roster of companies that can be called upon to bid on this project. The University will not accept partial submissions; Proponents must demonstrate the ability to fulfill the objective in its entirety to be considered for pre-qualification. The construction of a ~75-square-meter, two-floor addition to the Small Angle Neutron Scattering (SANS) building, including the integration of an elevator and connection to the existing Nuclear Reactor Building at the basement level. Additionally, the project includes renovations within the Nuclear Reactor Building, converting ~60 square meters of unused space into a workspace and dark lab with a new mezzanine floor, along with modifications to the existing stairs. The scope of work is to be undertaken while the SANS and Nuclear Reactor buildings are fully operational. See a more defined required scope in Appendix A.
