Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lawrence, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The work to be done under this contract includes: Street pavement rehabilitation and maintenance including, but not limited to, approximately 1,800 SY Concrete Patching, 4,000 LF 24" Curb and Gutter, 110 SY 4" Concrete Sidewalk, and 25 SY Concrete Access Ramps. Lawrence is a diverse and multifaceted city that provides many of the amenities of a large metropolitan area, while still maintaining a strong sense of community. Located in Northeast Kansas, Lawrence is just 45 minutes west of Kansas City, and 30 minutes east of Topeka, the state capital. Lawrence offers a rich and fascinating history, a wide range of exciting cultural experiences, nationally recognized educational institutions, and some of the most unique and enjoyable shopping opportunities in the Midwest. Lawrence is governed by a city commission and Mayor and the day-to-day operations of the city are the responsibility of the City Manager.
