Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) invites bids from licensed, qualified, and experienced contractors to provide inspections, testing, maintenance, service, and recharging of fire extinguishers and fire suppression bottles in accordance with all National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA), California State Fire Marshall (OSFM), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), federal, state and local regulations. RTA has fire extinguishers and fire suppression bottles on all of its buses and throughout both its Riverside and Hemet facilities. RTA anticipates the award of a firm-fixed priced contract for a one-year base term with a one-year option term. RTA shall have the sole discretion to determine the most responsive and responsible offeror/bidder. Exceptions/Deviations - Offeror/Bidder may list exceptions or deviations for Agency review and consideration. Recommend exceptions/deviations be submitted during the Q&A phase. Proposals/Bids with exceptions/deviations not clarified during the Q&A/clarification phase may be eliminated from further consideration. The Contract to be awarded may be paid for in part with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds therefore, Bidders shall comply with all applicable terms and conditions prescribed by the FTA for third party contracts.
