Renovation of an educational facility in Riverside, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project generally consists of the modernization of existing classrooms and multi purpose room, and construction of a new office, classrooms, and library building at Rustic Lane Elementary School ("RLES"). The classroom modernization portion of scope includes, but is not limited to, communication, electrical and plumbing upgrades, lighting, HVAC, flooring, ceilings, casework, and building envelope improvements. The RLES modernization scope of work also includes restroom upgrades, site security improvements, parking and path of travel improvements, and all other related site work. The overall project also consists of installation of interim housing at a different school site ("Interim Site") that will be used to house students and staff from RLES during the modernization construction period. The interim housing scope at the Interim Site includes but is not limited to site preparation on asphalt and landscape for installation of up to eighteen portable classrooms and two portable restroom buildings, and all related sitework, electrical, plumbing, parking, and path of travel improvements. Proposals from qualified lease-leaseback firms to provide preconstruction and lease-leaseback construction services for the Rustic Lane Elementary School Modernization Project. The Request for Proposals describes the scope of the preconstruction services, the scope of the project, the selection process, and the information that is required to be included in the proposal. The recommendation for award will be made to the firm that provides the best value to the District as set forth in the RFP. Any RFIs or other questions must also be submitted via online Any failure to submit the proposals before the deadline will cause the proposal to be rejected and returned unopened. Each proposer is solely responsible for the timely delivery of its respective proposal. All lease-leaseback prime contractors and mechanical, electrical and plumbing subcontractors (as defined in Public Contract Code section 20111.6) must be prequalified with the District. Lease-Leaseback contractors must submit their prequalification application via online on or before September 23, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Pursuant to California Labor Code Sections 1720 et seq ., it shall be mandatory upon the contractor and all subcontractors to pay not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract, including holiday and overtime work as well as employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, and similar purposes.The District reserves the right to waive any minor or immaterial deviations in the RFP, the proposals received, or reject all proposals if determined by the District to be in its best interest.
