The Contract is for the Wilkes-Barre Housing Authority High-Rise Door Lock Replacement Project. Bidders and Sub-Bidders are encouraged to visit the site to familiarize themselves with the site conditions and review the Scope of Work and construction documents. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than ten percent of the bid as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract if awarded. Within ten days after Notice of Award, the successful bidder shall execute the agreement, and within three days following the execution of the contract, deliver the Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract sum, and a Certificate of Insurance. Bidders must comply with Equal Employment Opportunity provisions and pay not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the contract documents. All contractors and subcontractors will be required to adhere to Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended. The successful bidder shall pay all required taxes. The contract time is 120 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, and liquidated damages of $200.00 per consecutive calendar day will be paid for delays beyond the deadline. The successful bidder is required to obtain and pay for all applicable construction licenses and permits and submit copies to the Architect before commencing work.
