The project consists of bridge replacements located at MacIntyre Park, involving design-build services for two pedestrian trail bridges to be constructed at MacIntyre Park. The contractor is required to construct a 40' x 8' prefabricated or fabricated pedestrian bridge over a creek for crossing access. The bridges must be constructed of metal or composite material and use metal, composite, or concrete decking (wood is not allowed) with vertical pickets. Services include all necessary evaluations, design and installation of abutments, and providing stamped design details by a structural engineer licensed in Georgia. The bridges are to be designed for pedestrian loads. Bidders must furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and perform all work required for the construction. The bidder shall complete, execute, and submit the following documents: Bid Form, Bid Bond, Statement of Bidder's Qualifications, Contractor's Oath and Non-collusion Affidavit of Subcontractor, and E-Verify Affidavit of Contractor. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond of not less than ten percent of the bid amount. The successful bidder must provide separate Payment and Performance Bonds each at 100% of the contract amount. All bonds and insurance must be executed or countersigned by a resident agent in Georgia and comply with state insurance laws. Bidders are required to review the insurance requirements stated in the contract specifications. Bids must be sealed and clearly marked and may not be withdrawn for sixty days after submission. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, re-advertise, and/or award the contract in the City's best interest.
