Renovation of an educational facility in Thomasville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

Project consists of architectural, plumbing, electrical, low voltage, and mechanical work associated with an interior renovation of the campus at Thomas County Middle School. Bids will be received for a general contract covering all trades. Bidders must be qualified, properly licensed for their trades, and able to obtain the necessary bonds and insurance. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount is required. No bids may be withdrawn for 60 days after submission. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. A mandatory pre-bid conference is required for all bidders. Only complete sets of procurement and contracting documents will be issued to prime bidders. The successful bidder shall begin procuring materials on receipt of the Notice to Proceed, begin demolition and renovation work on a specified date, and have the facility ready for occupancy prior to a specified deadline. Work schedules in some areas may be negotiable, but any work after the occupancy deadline must occur during nights, weekends, and holidays, with the building remaining ready for occupancy at the end of each day. At no time may the existing mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems be disabled while the building is occupied.
