Selective interior demolition of a 45,000 square foot Student Life Center. All interested general contractors must contact the architect at Sdragosavljevic@thompsonengineering.com to receive the criteria and the pre-qualification application for this project. Pre-qualification application forms must be emailed to Sdragosavljevic@thompsonengineering.com. Only general contractors who have been approved through prequalification procedures and criteria established by the owner will be eligible to bid for the project. Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Alabama Community College System in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, but not more than $10,000. Performance and payment bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents are necessary at contract signing. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the architect (engineer) or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding. The license number must be clearly displayed on the outside of the sealed bid envelope. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if it serves the best interests of the owner.
