The work consists of supplying 1,600 insulators, universal vise-top pin, 25kV rating, made from UV stabilized polyethylene with integrated clamping mechanism to eliminate tie products. The insulators must meet the physical and electrical requirements of ANSI C29.5, Class 55-5. The composite clamping insert must be suitable for use with bare aluminum, copper, and cover conductors with a conductor diameter range of 0.187-1.75 inch. Insulators must be tested for weather, UV, and contamination resistance, and must withstand impact and vandalism without damage. Material must be shipped in standard box quantities of 20 each. Only offers that match and intermember with equipment now in use in the department will be accepted. Delivery shall not exceed 50 calendar days from receipt of order. The contractor agrees to comply with the affirmative action program provisions for the duration of the contract and is prohibited from assigning the contract or any funds due without prior written consent of the department. Bidders are required to submit their bid pricing and information electronically via the eRSP system, and all forms required at bid submittal or upon request must be accessed and submitted as described in the vendor checklist. Bidders quoting other than specified manufacturer/brand or part number must attach literature/specifications with the bid or risk non-responsiveness. Bids are subject to acceptance by the department for a period of 90 days. Prices quoted should include all applicable duties, exclude federal excise taxes, and include delivery charges, FOB destination.
