Site work for a civil project in Port Orange, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Sleepy Hollow Drainage Improvements project is a major infrastructure upgrade designed to reduce flooding and improve how stormwater is managed in the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood and surrounding areas. The project involves installing new stormwater collection piping along Jackson Street and in the area between Sleepy Hollow and the adjacent commercial property to the west. A key component of the project is the integration of the existing Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pond with the Sleepy Hollow pond to create a single, larger retention facility. The newly installed stormwater piping will direct runoff to this expanded pond. Additionally, a new stormwater pumping station will be constructed near the southeast corner of the pond, adjacent to Miles Drive. This pump station will convey stormwater to a newly constructed outfall that will discharge into Rose Bay. As of October 17, 2025, this project is in the conceputal phase. An engineer has not been selected. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined.
