Site work for a civil project in Port Orange, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The proposed improvements will include upsizing the existing stormwater pipes along Virginia Avenue, Burch Street, Fox Place, and Grant Street increasing the flow to the existing stormwater pump stations on Monroe Street & B Street. The existing pump stations will be upgraded to accommodate the increased gravity flow from the new infrastructure. Additionally, backflow prevention devices will be installed at the connections beneath Ridgewood Avenue to help prevent tidal water from flowing back into the system. As of October 17, 2025, this project is in the planning phase. A prospective engineer has been selected, and formal approval of the design award is expected in October 2025. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined.
