Renovation of a water / sewer project in Merrimack, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
**As of November 10, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The project will consist of replacing two (2) rollup garage doors for Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 36 Mast Rd Merrimack. To supply and install two rollup garage doors for the Town of Merrimack Wastewater Treatment Facility, in accordance with the enclosed specifications and conditions. All work and materials must satisfy applicable industry standards, building codes, and manufacturer's warranty requirements. The contractor will be responsible for all work to be done to complete the project, including test operation and make all necessary adjustments to assure both doors, openers and wall switches installed properly and a smooth traverse of the doors. All materials needed to complete the installation must be included in the bid price, listed on a separate sheet, and included with your bid. The contractor will be responsible for delivery all required items, installation, erection, testing operation and making all adjustments necessary to ensure both doors, openers and wall switches are installed properly and ensure a smooth traverse of the doors. The following are minimum requirements for the bid. Any variation from the specifications must be written in the attached bid form as part of the bid. I. Door #1 o Rough estimation of size: 12'-8"W x 14'H o Color: Gray A. DOOR o Door Sections: Thermal break, roll formed interior and exterior panels, 26 gauge, and commercial quality hot-dipped galvanized steel. o Insulation: Expanded polystyrene core. o Hardware: All hinges and brackets made from galvanized steel. o Spring Counterbalance: Heavy duty oil tempered wire torsion springs on continuous ball bearing cross header steel shaft. Galvanized aircraft type lifting cables with minimum safety factor of seven to one. o Weather stripping: Head, neoprene rubber and galvanized retainer; jamb mounted vinyl and aluminum seal; door bottom, U-type vinyl seal and extruded aluminum retainer; sectional joint seal, neoprene foam rubber. B. MOTOR OPERATOR: o Commercial Electric door opener to be provided of the appropriate size. o Motor Operator: Each unit shall consist of a motor, directly connected to a speed reducer, a solenoid activated brake, a limit switch and an endless chain for emergency operation. Motor horsepower shall not exceed one horsepower. o Emergency operation shall be through auxiliary hand chain. Each unit shall be provided with electric interlock so the motor cannot be started when door is being operated by hand. o Prove a cable extension for remote release of the door. o Weather seal safety bottom bar shall be applied to the bottom of the curtain, which will stop and reverse the door travel upon contact with an obstruction. C. TRACK: o Size track according to door size and weight. Bidder to determine if existing tracks can be reused o Galvanized track, continuous angle mounted. Reinforce horizontal track with continuous angle. D. CONTROLS: o One (1) three-button wall switch and two (2) single button remote controls to be included. II. Door #2 o Rough estimation of size: 12'-8"W x 12'H o Color: Gray A. DOOR o Door Sections: Thermal break, roll formed interior and exterior panels, 26 gauge, commercial quality hot-dipped galvanized steel. o Insulation: Non-Insulated. o Hardware: All hinges and brackets made from galvanized steel. o Spring Counterbalance: Heavy duty oil tempered wire torsion springs on continuous ball bearing cross header steel shaft.
