Renovation of a fire / police facility in Merrimack, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Replace the HVAC system for the Town of Merrimack Police Department according to the specified conditions. The proposed systems must comply with industry standards, including those set by the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHREA), maintain temperatures within required ranges, and meet all applicable codes. The minimum scope of work includes: disconnecting and removing five (5) York 2 ton rooftop units, one (1) York 4 ton rooftop, and four (4) split systems; furnishing and installing five (5) rooftop units (five 2 ton units and one 4 ton cooling unit); furnishing and installing two (2) 80% efficient gas furnaces with remote air-cooled condensing units on the roof; furnishing and installing two (2) high-efficiency gas furnaces with condensing units on the ground level; connecting new rooftop units to the existing duct system; reconnecting gas and refrigerant piping, flue piping, and low voltage control wiring; patching the roof as needed; providing new thermostats (reusing the existing zone system for the second-floor furnace); certified air balancing; and starting, checking, and testing all equipment for proper operation. Proposals shall include warranty information, detailed specifications of the proposed equipment, a list of significant materials and tasks, and a total cost. Three copies must be submitted. The bid price must include all labor and materials for a complete installation, including debris removal. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price and meet the insurance requirements: worker's compensation, comprehensive general liability no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence, and motor vehicle insurance no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence, with the Town named as additional insured. The contractor must agree in writing to indemnify the Town from any liability arising from the contractor's actions or omissions relating to the project. Bidders must also identify three customers for whom similar repairs have been completed in the last five years. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and accept the bid that best serves its interest. Submit three sealed copies marked "Bid on HVAC-Police Station" to the address provided by the specified deadline.
