Wayne State College Student Center Kitchen Renovation Phase 2 Question Deadline 10/30/2025- Bidders and sub-bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding documents shall make a written request which shall reach the Architect at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. Project Description: Project consists of the following scopes of work: 1. Kitchen flooring replacement. a. Disconnect and move all existing kitchen equipment other than walk-in's to allow for the installation of new flooring. Contractor will be required to provide conex box(s) on site for storage of equipment. b. Grind and prep existing quarry tile flooring for new epoxy flooring. c. Installation of new epoxy flooring with integral cove base. d. Re-connection and installation of stored kitchen equipment. 2. Kitchen wall and ceiling painting. a. Clean and prep surfaces for painting. 3. Replacement of existing original cast iron piping. a. Removal and replacement of visible existing cast iron piping. b. Removal and replacement of existing suspended ceilings as necessary for access c. Cut and abandon under slab existing cast iron piping. d. Cut and remove existing slab-on-grade construction as needed for installation of new under slab piping. 4. Installation of grease trap. a. Connection of all new piping to new exterior grease trap. b. Site excavation as required for installation of grease trap. c. Site clean-up and rework. 5. ADD Alternate No.01 - Kitchen Lighting a. Replace existing kitchen lighting with new LED fixtures. 6. ADD Alternate No. 02 - Dish Room SCUN156K Ceiling and Lighting a. Remove and replace existing dish room ceiling. b. Remove and replace existing dish room lighting with new LED fixtures. c. Readjust location and repaint existing HVAC ceiling diffusers. 7. ADD Alternate No 03 - Servery Counter Replacement a. Remove and replace existing counters. 8. ADD Alternate No 04 - Main Dining SCUN157 and Birch Room SCUN158 Flooring a. Remove and replace existing wall base and LVT flooring with new rubber wallbase and VCT flooring. 9. ADD Alternate No 05 - Epoxy Flooring at Wet Room SCLL15N a. Disconnect and move existing kitchen and laundry equipment to allow for the installation of new epoxy flooring system.
